Learn to Play Bridge in Naples

In the past year, I taught several senior-level executives to play bridge.

One gave me the idea to offer bridge lessons as a getaway for executives in Naples, Florida.  Many own homes there for getaways for needed R&R.

Warren Buffet and Bill Gates play bridge together and know its more than just a card game. They feel that bridge skills are executive and business complement each other.

Warren plays bridge online every day. You’ll also find Bill and Warren at bridge tournaments and clubs around the country. Both love the game and admit that Bridge helps them in their job. Bridge teaches logic, reasoning, quick thinking, patience, concentration, competitive strategies, and partnership skills.

Spend a week in Naples learning the game of bridge. Rob will help you to become a better bridge player and leader.

You get a full week of bridge. You’ll learn bridge from a bridge Life Master and play duplicate bridge almost every day at local bridge clubs. Rob spends his winters in Naples, knows the area well, and plays bridge there.

  • Before arriving, you learn bridge concepts online with Rob or brush up on your bridge basics with an ACBL online program.
  • Rob will be your partner to coach and play bridge at one of the many duplicate bridge clubs in Naples. Each duplicate game is about 3.5 hours. These are ACBL-sanctioned clubs that Gates & Buffet play at.
  • After each game, Rob provides constructive feedback and discusses bidding, play, and defense. He will show you how to analyze your results from a computer printout of the session.

You will also have time to enjoy the golf courses, restaurants, tennis, and the beach. And of course, watch the sunset at the Naples Pier.

Your Bridge Coach …

Rob VeVerka, a former director and educator at the University of Cincinnati, is a passionate bridge teacher in both Cincinnati and Naples, Florida. He creates a unique bridge experience to learn bridge. Rob first taught bridge at the University of Cincinnati and has been teaching bridge for the past twenty-five years.

Rob has an education degree from Ohio State and an MBA. He spent most of his career in adult learning with blue-chip organizations. His students learn bridge by discovery and understanding the logic. He has been a director and an officer at the Cincinnati Bridge Association.

He is an American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) Accredited Teacher, a Certified Online Teacher, and Club Director. You can check out his certifications at the ACBL.
